Our purpose
We exist to REACH teens with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, teach them how to WORSHIP God with their lives, CONNECT them with others in meaningful relationships, challenge them to GROW toward spiritual maturity and equip them to SERVE God and others.

BIBLICAL BASIS
Great Commandment
Matthew 22:37-40 "...Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments"

Great Commission
Matthew 28:18-20 "...All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

REACH "Go and make disciples"
WORSHIP "Love the Lord your God with all your heart"
CONNECT "Baptizing them"
GROW "Teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you"
SERVE "Love your neighbor as yourself"

Our program
SUNDAY IMPACT - meet every Sunday @ 10:30am for church service with the entire body. Sunday IMPACT is essential to the spiritual growth of the youth by focusing on the teaching of Gods word and by putting into practice the Worshiping of God with their lives. (Fulfills our purpose of WORSHIP)

CORE GROUPS - will meet Wednesdays @ 6:30 PM

- Make students VERBAL During a large group meeting, teens don't have any opportunity to ask questions or verbalize their own opinions. Small groups encourage them to openly discuss and ask questions about Scripture.

- Allow students to PERSONALIZE their faith Small groups allow for personal application of Christianity. They allow for discussions about how the Truth can be implemented specifically in teens' lives.

- Encourage ACCOUNTABLE relationships, when a teen in a small group plans to put into action a truth they learned in Scripture, a small group allows for their group to follow up and encourage them to follow through. (Fulfills our purpose of CONNECT)

Meets in the Worship Center & Homes

Meeting of the minds
dates and times will vary
This is an opportunity for the youth, youth sponsors, and interested adults, to meet and discuss ideas on how to reach youth for Christ. This group will help in supporting the teen ministry be helping with teen events, participating in fund raisers, and possible leading when asked.

Parent’s turn
Deuteronomy 6:5-7 "5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."

We believe that God has given parents the sole responsibility to raise up their children in the things of God. However, we know that this is not at easy task!!

Our purpose at PVBC is to come alongside parents and be a resource and influence to reinforce the Word or God in the lives of your teen students. The teen years are a very formative time in life and we want our teen students to understand what God has to say about all of the obstacles and temptations that will be thrown at them during this time. We pray you will take advantage of what we have to offer by getting your son or daughter involved in our programs.

We have an "open door" policy, where all parents are welcome to come and see what we do at any of our programs.

FAQ:
How do I get my child plugged in?

It's always scary being the "new kid" and we want to help you get your son or daughter plugged in as soon as possible. The best way would be to contact Andy so that we can do three things:
1) Have a leader personally call to invite your student.
2) The leader will meet your student as soon as they visit us on a Sunday or Wednesday. The leader will do their best to introduce your student around and hopefully see someone they know. The leader will "hang" with your students the entire program.
3) The leader will call your student the following week to see what their experience was like and to invite them back again.

How do I get involved?
We're always looking for more help to make the best student ministry, all that it can be. For specific opportunities, and to express your interest in getting involved with IMPACT, contact Andy
